Tip 1: Do your research
With nine different project zones, ranging from Kitchens and Bathrooms to Gardens and Interiors, this is the biggest Home Show event of the year. To get the most out of your experience, it is important to do your research! Whether you are looking for inspirational ideas or expert advice, there is a vast range of exhibitors to see and explore. Look into what each project zone has to offer in advance and it is always good to prepare a (short) list of things you wish to take away from the exhibition.
Tip 2: Be prepared for the show offers
Many exhibitors bring special offers to the show and it pays to have a shopping list – this way you can pick up a bargain and avoid being swayed by the excitement of the day.
Tip 3: Buy tickets in advance
Grand Designs is not only popular to would be homebuilders, homeowners and renovators but this is an exhibition for the whole family and have we mentioned Kevin McCloud? Fans of the television show flock to see Mr. McCloud himself, so you can expect tickets to sell fast. In order to avoid disappointment, book your tickets online in advance.
Tip 4: How to get there
From setting the morning alarm, to making sure you arrive on time, it is so important to plan your journey to Grand Designs. Tip 5: Dress for the day
Exhibitions can very be hot or cold and Grand Designs is no exception. Layers that you can slip on and off easily are a great way to stay comfortable when the temperature fluctuates throughout the day.
Tip 6: Wear the right shoes
Concreate floors can be hard on your feet even when covered in thin carpet. Floors at exhibition halls cannot only be uneven but the varying heights of the stands can also be a trip hazard. So choose the right shoes, ones that are not only comfortable but offer ankle and arch support as well.
