We explain how you can protect the environment with local water and refine it into delicious Magnesium Mineralized Water, The earth provides us with staple foods that we cannot live without. of which water is the most important. It is there for all the more important that we protect our environment, by choosing local water as drinking water.
Important water resources like small streams, large rivers, and bubbling springs: are often practically on our doorstep, or at least in the region where we live. So why have water transported to the beverage stores and supermarkets from afar and drive CO2 emissions up in the process? The fact is: Around 30 percent of the CO2 emissions produced by traffic can be traced back to freight traffic. Trucks cause 103 grams of greenhouse gases per tone-kilometer.
The tap water from our own region, on the other hand, reaches us without road transport and, thanks to the right water filter, can taste at least as good as bottled mineral water. If that tap water flows through a BWT filter with magnesium technology, such as in the AQA drink Pure under sink kitchen system, it becomes high-quality Magnesium Mineralized Water. The Magnesium Mineralized Water not only impresses with its taste, but also protects kitchen appliances such as coffee machines and kettles from limescale. Water filters with magnesium technology turn tap water into the best BWT Drinking water
Whether at home, work, school, or while you travel, small changes can add up to help the environment with local water. To reduce your carbon footprint, you’ll want to do things like reduce the amount of energy you use, eat fewer animal products, shop locally, and reduce your waste. There are so many other ways that you can reduce your carbon footprint here are some suggestions:
It lies on the beach; it swims in the oceans: plastic waste has long since become a global problem. Plastic bottles are no exception: no fewer than 1 million plastic bottles are sold every minute worldwide
It is very easy to do without single use plastic bottles thanks to modern water filters. An example: With a BWT AQA drink MP200 filter alone , you can save at least 600 one litre plastic bottles from the bin or worse- and also the tedious need to lugg full bottles from the shop  in the first place. BWT AQA drink filter cartridges are available in a range of sizes and shapes from the smaller versions used in the Vida and Penguin filter jugs to the higher capacity variants, used at the heart of BWT’s undersink filter systems like the Loft and Urban.  Depending on your requirements and the desired water result there is bound to be a BWT filter to suit you.
Instead of the polluting disposable plastic bottles, you can use glass carafes at home or in the office. And you can also do without plastic bottles on the go and simply take your Magnesium Mineralized Water with you in your favorite sports bottle or one of the stylish reusable bottles from BWT .
But plastic is not only found in packaging. Microplastics have also reached tap water in many regions. Thanks to the BWT magnesium filter technology, supplemented by an integrated ultrafiltration membrane, the AQA drink water filters from BWT not only retain up to 99.9999% of bacteria at the water dispenser inlet, but also reduce microplastics down to 0.001 mm. The BWT water dispenser AQA drink Pro 20 delivers still, chilled or sparkling Magnesium Mineralized Water in the office or in shops at the touch of a button – and of the very best quality.
For many years, we have seen the plastic waste mountain on earth grow rapidly. This poses a massive threat to us and our sensitive ecosystems. With our initiative “Change the World – sip by sip” we have launched an appeal: Let’s change something! Every day, sip by sip.
CREATE YOUR OWN BOTTLE FREE ZONE
In a Bottle Free Zone, thanks to our innovative, patented technologies, local tap drinking water – regardless of quality – is filtered, treated, and enriched with valuable minerals and trace elements such as magnesium, zinc, or silicate. Because BWT its business to make water better.
The next steps to tackle single use plastics
Single-use plastic plates, cutlery and polystyrene cups are among items under review. With the rise of use of single use plastics the government are looking at ways to get rid of these harmful products – one way BWT could help with that is to get a BWT 360 water dispenser at home.

Environment Agency convened the National Drought Group, addressed the existing situation and decided on ways to safeguard the UK’s water supplies and environment in the next weeks
Harvey Bradshaw, Environment Agency executive director said
‘While last week’s extreme high temperatures are now behind us and there are currently no plans for restrictions on essential water use. We are working very closely with water companies, farmers and other water users to manage the current situation Environment Agency teams are doing brilliant work across the country monitoring river levels and responding to environmental incidents, as well as enacting the early stages of our drought plans in many parts of England’
There are no longer any “drought regions” in England, as the majority of water companies have sufficient reservoir storage for the summer season. Individual water suppliers will determine whether to impose interim consumption restrictions, sometimes known as hosepipe bans, if necessary, and the Environment Agency will decide whether to issue drought permits and drought orders.
